dokidoki brings an original cross-cultural concept to East Williamsburg, blending Japanese drinking traditions with the vibrant flavours, music and warmth of Latin America.
Inspired by the atmosphere of a Japanese tachinomi (standing bar), the compact space encourages casual conversation over low-alcohol cocktails, sake, shochu and wine.
Behind the bar are experienced industry figures Christian Suzuki-Orellana and A-K Hada, whose combined backgrounds in acclaimed cocktail bars have shaped a menu that reflects both their heritage and careers.
Drinks reinterpret familiar classics with Japanese and Latin ingredients, while the food follows suit, combining Japanese techniques with Puerto Rican and Salvadoran influences.
