Where is your shop?

Difford's Shop is on the A28 just outside the village of Northiam heading towards Hastings. Our full address:

What are your shop opening hours?

We are open:
Wednesday: 12pm - 4pm
Thursday: 12pm - 4pm
Friday: 12pm - 4pm
Saturday: 11am - 6.30pm

How do I get my cocktail recipe on Difford's Guide website & in the book?

You can upload a recipe to Difford's Guide yourself via Your Recipes, or email simon.difford@diffordsguide.com with your recipe. If I like it, it's new, easily replicable, and I think will appeal to our audience of Discerning Drinkers, then I'll make it, we'll photograph it and add it to the website. I select the highest-rated/most popular recipes from the website to include in the book.

Can I order an item from your shop by phone?

Unfortunately, we don't have the ability to take orders and payments by phone.

Can I track my delivery from your shop?

Our courier will provide you with a tracking number as soon as your package has been dispatched. You will also receive shipping updates via text if you provide your mobile telephone number at checkout.

Can I change or cancel an order I placed online?

Yes, if it has not yet been despatched. Please contact us at shop@diffordsguide.com to discuss changing or cancelling your order.

What happens if my order arrives damaged?

We're sorry to hear that! Please contact us at shop@diffordsguide.comand attach a photograph of your damaged item. We will need you to keep the original packaging, so please don't throw it away just yet.

Something is wrong with my item(s). What should I do?

I'm repeatedly being logged out, so I have to continually log in again. What can I do to prevent this?

It can help to delete cookies on your device to rule that out as a possible cause. The process varies slightly by device and browser, but searching something like "how to delete cookies on Safari on iPhone" should provide step-by-step guidance if needed. If it's happening across multiple devices, it may also be worth briefly testing on a different network (for example, switching off Wi-Fi and using mobile data, or vice versa) in case a firewall, VPN, or security setting is interrupting the session.

Once you're successfully logged in, you may also wish to enable a Passkey in your account settings. This allows you to log in without waiting for email codes and should make the process much quicker and smoother.
