About
Panda & Sons is a basement bar in Edinburgh hidden behind a vintage barbershop front. The bar has an off-site lab for experimenting with flavours and offers innovative cocktail creations alongside friendly Scottish hospitality within a vintage space.
Disguised by a vintage barbershop frontage, down a flight a stairs and through a door that masquerades as a book shelf, Panda and Sons is unapologetically Prohibition in style.
The sprawling lounge feels a little corporate hotel but with character added by paraphernalia such as soft toys, ornaments, pictures and more eclectic items. Wooden tables dot the room with space for seven or eight perched at the bar.
Table service is friendly and efficient and you'll perhaps want to seek advice on what cocktail to drink from your server as the menu, which includes classics and house specials, is bewilderingly large with cocktails lost between pages with tales of Pandas and such like.
