Auld Reekie Tiki Bar

From the same team as the popular Tiki Bar & Kitsch Inn on Bath Street, Glasgow, this Edinburgh outpost opened in March 2017 on a prime spot just off George Street, smack in the heart of New Town. Despite being semi-subterranean its location on Frederick Street is easy to spot due to its road-side wicker tables and chairs.

Once over the obligatory bridge and inside, the cavernous space is a forest of bamboo with the Polynesian, tropical and nautical flamboyance you'd expect of any self-respecting out-and-out Tiki bar.

The cocktail menu (initially borrowed from the Kitch Inn) features mainstay Tiki classics such as the Mai Tai, Zombie and Navy Grog, along with signature concoctions such as the Glasvegas Kiss, many presented in Tiki mugs.
