Wassail is New York's first cider bar and it's appropriately situated on Orchard Street in the Lower East Side. Beyond the street facing leaded light rectangular windows that a front Wassail lies a deep but narrow two-tone space that has a clean modern feel. Sadly there's not much calvados or even applejack brandy on display but the cider selection is probably New York's best and the cocktails well executed.
