Review and Tasting

Sampled on 17/02/2020

Appearance:

Clear, coppery golden with bright copper highlights.

Aroma:

Not quite ripe apricot/dried apricot, boatyard varnish, buttery oak/cedar cigar box lining, banana leaf, caramel, orange marmalade, chocolate and espresso coffee.

Taste:

Medium-bodied. Demerara sugar, apricot marmalade, buttery oak, zesty orange and gingerbread with mocha coffee, prune rich fruitcake, overripe banana, butterscotch, vanilla and nutmeg spice.

Aftertaste:

Burst of zesty vanilla chocolate orange immediately after swallowing with lingering buttery oak, vanilla and chocolaty mocha coffee, tart apricot and zesty orange.

Overall:

Elegant with sweet orange marmalade, apricot jam and rich vanilla balancing dry buttery oak, zesty orange, espresso coffee, dark chocolate and nutmeg spice.
