Akvinta is made from Italian wheat using a three column process. It is hydrated using spring water from the foothills of the Dinaric Alps and “quintuple” filtered through charcoal, marble, silver, gold and platinum.

Pronounced ‘Ack-Vinta’, the inspiration for the name comes from the combination of three Latin words: Aqua (water), quinta (referencing quintuple filtration) and Vinum (wine) – some including us might question the wine, and by association grape, reference but…

First launched in 2006 after a collaboration between Russian consultancy Stas Marketing Partners and Croatia's Adriatic Distillers.

Appearance:

Crystal clear.

Aroma:

Mineral nose with black pepper spirit notes, a whiff of charcoal and perhaps very subtle aromas reminiscent of lime cordial.

Taste:

Strangle subtly syrupy mouthfeel with cracked black pepper spice, subtle toasted aniseed and faint vanilla.

Aftertaste:

Creamy wheat finish which ends with lingering cracked black pepper, faint aniseed and bitterness.
