Review and Tasting

Sampled on 28/08/2025

Appearance:

Clear, almost opaque, deep brown.

Aroma:

Pungent, freshly dark roasted coffee with faint dark chocolate and wisps of smoke.

Taste:

Well-balanced with enough sugar to counter bitter notes from the roast coffee. Hints of buttery vanilla and rich vanilla.

Aftertaste:

Lingering coffee and chocolate. Attractive buttery notes emerge.

Overall:

Balanced and easy-drinking with good roasted coffee flavours. The original and still the default coffee liqueur for so many.
