Vilmos, the Hungarian for William, is a reference to this traditional Hungarian pear eau-de-vie (Palinka) being distilled from fermented Swiss Williams pears. Eredeti is Hungarian for original so the 'Eredeti Vilmos' brand name literally means 'original William'.

Appearance:

Almost crystal clear but with a very faint yellow tinge.

Aroma:

Pungent pear skin and pear flesh nose with dried apple aromas and faint spice.

Taste:

Clean, ripe pear palate with an alcohol bite and pinch of spice.

Aftertaste:

Delicate fresh pear finish with delicate warming spice.
