Launched in 2007 by brothers, Courtney and Carter Reum, VeeV's marketing claims it to be "The world's first açaí spirit". Made in Idaho, VeeV is actually a liqueur based on wheat neutral alcohol flavoured with açaí berries, acerola cherry and prickly pear.

Dubious links are made to the perceived health benefits of the ingredients and this liqueur.

Appearance:

Crystal clear.

Aroma:

Tropical fruit, blueberries, banana and bubble gum.

Taste:

Slightly sweet, lightly flavoured, tropical fruit which although flat has a taste of carbonation. Somewhat bland but inoffensive.

Aftertaste:

Very light fudge and tropical fruit finish.
