Despite initial opposition from the Polish Ministry of Culture, this potato vodka is named after the great composer. The frosted glass bottle has a window on the front through which the Delacroix portrait of Chopin on the rear of the bottle appears, magnified by the vodka.
Launched in 1997, Chopin Potato Vodka is based on Stobrawa potatoes from the Mazovia region of Poland and is distilled using a four-column process. Apparently it requires some ten pounds of potatoes to create just one bottle of Chopin vodka. Distinguishable from other Chopin vodkas by its black neck label and screw cap.
