Each year, Heaven Hill's master Distiller selects barrels to bottle as Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage Bourbon. Each bottle is marked with the date it was put into oak, along with the year it was bottled and the serial number of the single barrel from which it was drawn.

Evan Williams is made with a mashbill of 78% corn, 10% rye, and 12% malted barley. Although age is not indicated on the label, Evan Williams Single Barrel is aged 7-8 years.

Appearance:

(sample "barrelled 7/Apr/04, barrel No.986, bottled 28/Jul/14") Clear, deep golden amber.

Aroma:

Toasty grain, chargrilled sweetcorn, maple syrup and black pepper spice with honey and caramel.

Taste:

Full-bodied. Toasty maple, pencil shavings, vanilla and chargrilled sweetcorn with roasted almonds, earthy apple, enlivening cracked blacked pepper and cinnamon spice.

Aftertaste:

Toasty maple, pencil shavings, roasted nuts vanilla and black pepper spice.

Overall:

Dry, toasty and spicy with nuttiness, pencil shaving oak, rich maple, chargrilled sweetcorn and vanilla.
