Kryshtal Etalon is made from a blend of winter wheat and rye using a four column distillation process. It is filtered through flint and hydrated with water from the distillery's own 293m deep well.

Launched in 2003, Kryshtal Etalon is the flagship vodka of the Minsk Kryshtal distillery, the oldest (established 1893) and the biggest distiller in Belarus.

According to the distillery's own very informative website, "the formula of vodka Kryshtal Etalon contains high-quality grain ethyl rectified alcohol 'Super-Lux', softened flint-processed drinking water, bicarbonate sodium, ascorbic acid, crystalline glucose, iodinated salt".

Appearance:

Crystal clear.

Aroma:

Almost neutral nose with faint aromas of burnt rye bread toast.

Taste:

Very slightly sweet palate with somewhat creamy mouth feel.

Aftertaste:

Burst of aniseed on the slightly jagged, peppery finish.
