This Mauritian rum is a blend of oak rums aged up to 7 years old in ex-bourbon casks. The picture on the label is of the Flamboyant tree - its brilliant red flower, which comes into blossom during the time of independence in March, is the national flower of Mauritius.

Appearance:

Clear, bright golden yellow.

Aroma:

Strangely biscuit/cake-like nose with banana cake, raison, allspice, cinnamon, cream soda vanilla and orange zest.

Taste:

Dry, burnt palate with vegetal, estery - almost petrol-like notes.

Aftertaste:

Dry, burnt fruit cake/raisin and mocha coffee.
