Originally brewed to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar, Flagship is an IPA which aptly is brewed with Admiral hops. Flagship is available on draught during September and October at 3.5% alc./vol. and (as sampled here) bottled conditioned at 5.5% alc./vol. all year round.

Appearance:

Clear, coppery amber with medium long lasting white head leaving heavy lacing.

Aroma:

Bready crust, overripe plums, stewed apple and pear fruit with toffee apple and maple syrup.

Taste:

Bitter sweet with powerful but balanced hops and a slightly creamy mouth feel.

Aftertaste:

Steely, hoppy finish with lingering ruby grapefruit zest acidity.
