Diablo is SSB's flagship India Pale Ale and they say is "loaded with U.S. hop varieties, dominated by the 'Citra' Variety". It is brewed using only water, barley, hops and yeast and is bottled unfiltered and unpasteurised.

Appearance:

(bbd 30-Jun-13) Cloudy amber with barely any head.

Aroma:

Pungent tropical fruit – overripe pineapple and dried mango with zesty grapefruit citrus and a whiff of pine-ey resinous hops and faint cat pee-like notes.

Taste:

Tart and bitter, aggressively hopped, pine resinous palate with bitter citrus oils. Lacks balancing sweet malt.

Aftertaste:

Long, bitter pine resin and citrus oil finish.
