Lucid Absinthe Supérieure is a French absinthe created by Ted Breaux and made at the Combier Distillery, France. The brand launched in 2007 as one of the pioneering new-wave absinthes to hit America.
Made in the traditional style, using a base of wine spirit and the classic trio of botanicals: grand wormwood, green anise and sweet fennel, it follows historic absinthe-making methods rather than relying on artificial colouring or flavourings. When diluted with chilled water, the spirit develops the characteristic milky louche as essential oils from the botanicals are released.
