Pronounced ‘Ching-dow’, a corruption of Qingdao, the Chinese province where it is produced, the Tsingtao Brewery was established by German colonists in 1903. Brewed from rice and barley with spring water from Laoshan, a mountain area famous throughout China for the purity of its water.
Tsingtao is brewed with barley imported from Australia and Canada and is fermented for at least 28 days using a yeast strain cultivated at the brewery. Tsingtao is a fave at Chinese restaurants the world over. Original Gravity: 11.0 degrees Plato.

(best before 09-Mar-13) Clear, pale bright yellow with a thin white head which quickly fades to mere ring of foam.
Subdued nose with starchy notes, floral hops and a cat pee-like skunk aroma.
Medium-light bodied and slightly sweet with sweet corn and light doughy bready flavours with mild citrus, stewed vegetal hop bitterness and faint white peach fruit.
Light grain and sweet corn with slight cut grass note.
