First brewed on 18th April 1975, Liberty Ale was named to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Paul Revere’s historic ride to warn the American revolutionaries that British troops were coming.

Brewed using only Liberty Ale is a single hop beer, Cascade, with 2-Row pale malt and a top fermenting yeast. It is dry-hopped and carbonation is achieved through a natural process known as ‘bunging.’

Appearance:

(best before 2014) Faint haze, coppery amber with long lasting ivory coloured head and good lacing.

Aroma:

Toasty malt with lychee and rhubarb and ginger hops.

Taste:

Seaweed, lychee, rhubarb and spruce hops with earthy breadyness.

Aftertaste:

Pink grapefruit zest, buttercups and pine hops.
