Review and Tasting

Sampled on 23/09/2014

Appearance:

Clear, deep golden amber.

Aroma:

Burnt fruit cake, raisins, treacle, toffee apple and walnut with chocolate orange. Balsamic and caramel with water.

Taste:

Rich and full-bodied. Blackened fruit cake, burnt toast/charcoal and caramel with treacle, prunes, dates, clove and cinnamon spice. Even richer and fruitier with water - soy sauce amplifies clove notes.

Aftertaste:

More burnt fruitcake and charcoal with pleasing roasted coffee and spice. Overall: Big, fruity, rich and burnt. Excellent value for money.
