Pronounced ‘potch ghoo’, meaning ‘black pot’ in Gaelic, referring to an illicit still, Poit Dhubh is a blended malt matured 12 years in sherry-seasoned casks. Pràban is based on the Isle of Skye and Talisker is said to be a major component with Speyside malts.

Appearance:

Clear, deep cleaned copper coin amber.

Aroma:

Earthy peat, dried tropical fruit, wax crayon and wax jacket with ginger, lemon grass and pencil shavings.

Taste:

Savoury, burnt lightly smoked bacon, peaty vegetal notes with nuts and a faint hint of iodine.

Aftertaste:

Long smoky, earthy peaty finish with lingering spice.
