Avión is a 100% agave tequila marketed as being “world’s smoothest tequila” (aren’t they all?). It is made using highland cultivated agave, roasted in brick ovens. Its producers boast of a “proprietary Ultra Slow Filtration process”.
Avión was created by Kenny Dichter, a childhood friend of Doug Ellin, the creator of the HBO hit about a fictional movie star, Vince Chase, (Adrian Grenier) and his posse. The 30 year friendship led to a season of the Entourage plot including the creation of a Vince Chase promoted celebrity tequila brand, Avión.

Appearance:
Crystal clear.
Aroma:
Dusty cement, ash and charcoal with faint vanilla.
Taste:
Dusty, mineral agave with faint sweetness helping to tame pronounced cracked black pepper spice. Note of barbeque charcoal.
Aftertaste:
Long agave finish with lingering barbeque charcoal and peppery spice.
