Review and Tasting

Sampled on 12/04/2015

Appearance:

Clear, burgundy red with ruby glints.

Aroma:

Ripe blueberries, raspberries, prunes and red wine with dried cranberries, juicy red bell pepper, quinine and paprika spice.

Taste:

Light-bodied yet rich with comforting red wine, underlying spicy, rooty, earthy bitterness and hints of liquorice, burnt coffee and bitter chocolate.

Aftertaste:

Red pepper corn spice and quinine bitterness builds through the fruity finish, balancing and preventing this moderately rich aperitif becoming cloying.

Overall:

Rich wine and red berry fruitiness with delicate underlying herbal complexity.
