A limited edition of 12,018 bottles filled in August 2014 as a homage to Compass Box’s our own ‘lost blend’, their Eleuthera single malt blend which was retired in 2004.
A blend of Clynelish single malt with whisky from Allt-A-Bhainne Distillery, aged in American oak barrels for a little under 20 years, combined with malt whisky from Caol Ila Distillery. Bottled without caramel colouring or chill-filtration.
The name was inspired by a short story written by O. Henry in 1907 ‘The Lost Blend’ about life in a New York bar featuring two business partners who try to recreate a blend of spirits with close to supernatural properties.
