An American riff on a Belgian Kriek brewed with Samuel Adams two-row pale malt blend, Caramel 60, Munich 10 and Special B malts, with Hallertau and Mittelfrueh hops, and aged on a bed of Balaton cherries. IBUs: 8, SRM: 37

Appearance:

Faint haze, mahogany red with retentive thick beige head.

Aroma:

Red berry fruit, cherries and muscavado sugar with faint clove and nutmeg.

Taste:

Tart fruit balances jammy fruit sweetness with morello cherry and light cleansing black pepper spice.

Aftertaste:

Lingering cherry jam with oak character from cask aging emerging.
