Review and Tasting

Appearance:
Clear, golden amber.
Aroma:
Malty juniper with linseed, cinnamon, nutmeg, bamboo, vanilla, white pepper and very faint wisps of smoke.
Taste:
Buttery vanilla, black pepper spice, dry pencil shaving-like dry oak, patchouli oil, anise and honeysuckle.
Aftertaste:
Cracked black pepper, butter, vanilla and smoked oak.
Overall:
Dry oak, malty cereal, cinnamon and cracked black pepper spice characterise this very sippable 'mature' jenever.
