Released in 1997 to celebrate Joy Spence’s 20th anniversary as Master Blender of Appleton Estate rums. Made using rums with a minimum age of 25 years, the blend contains rums as old as 35 years.

(pre-launch tasting sample) Clear but not bright, deep golden amber with bronze glints.
Pungent. Newly sawn toasty oak, golden syrup, vanilla, rolling tobacco, dark chocolate and mocha coffee with cinnamon, nutmeg and orange zest.
Dry oak, brazil nut, ginger spice, honey, orange zest, dark chocolate, cinnamon and nutmeg spice.
A dry oaky finish with bitter chocolate, cinnamon, nutmeg and orange zest – softened slightly by brown sugar and butterscotch.
A pungent, robust, bone dry rum with bitter oak, Christmassy spice and zesty orange. Not a rum for those who like their rums on the sweet side.
