A carbonated British ginger beer brewed with malted barley. Contains no artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners and no preservatives.

"Ingredients: Sparkling water, sugar, no-alcoholic ferment of water, malted barley extract and ginger extract, lemon juice from concentrate (2.5%), natural flavouring, stabiliser gum, acacia, antioxidant, ascorbic acid."

Appearance:

(sample bottle BBE Jan/18) Cloudy, yellow amber with quickly fading bubbles.

Aroma:

Yeasty brown bread, light crystallized ginger and faint lemon.

Taste:

There's a pleasing brown breadiness to this ginger beer which has a good ginger spiced bite. Faint lemon freshness. Moderate carbonation.

Aftertaste:

Ginger heat builds through the finish and lingers.

Overall:

Assertive ginger spice but not as gingery as some ginger beers. Brown bready notes along with the dark colour may be off-putting to some.
