Eich Bhana Lìr (meaning ‘the great waves of Lìr’) is named after the Gaelic god Lìr, “the powerful ruler of the sea who would use his great white waves to wash ashore his most precious gifts”. The bottle was handcrafted by Italian glass blowers and metal workers to depict the great white waves of lore.

Appearance:

Clear, coppery amber.

Aroma:

Fresh green apple, baked apple and pear, toasty oak, old leather, honey; cinnamon, nutmeg and peppery spice; roasted nuts and zesty orange. A splash of water releases attractive fruity notes.

Taste:

Dry oak, old leather, roasted nuts, attractive maltiness, black pepper spice, fresh root ginger, zesty lemon and rich floral honey.

Aftertaste:

The long finish starts with peppery spice, then turns malty with nutty old leather and oak.

Overall:

Dry and yet rich, with orchard fruit, roasted nuts, toasty malt, ginger and peppery spice, honey and freshening zesty citrus fruit.
