An English gin made in the heart of the Lake District with 14 botanicals, some native to the Lakes, such as bilberry, heather and meadowsweet. These are infused overnight in and distilled with British wheat spirit in a traditional copper pot still and water from the Lake District National Park.
Sampled on 31/10/2020
Crystal clear.
Cracked black pepper and piney juniper with faint zesty orange.
Clean crisp piney juniper forward with pleasant nutty dried mushroom-like angelica root, zesty citrus freshness, liquorice, and leafier notes – we presume from meadowsweet.
Cracked black pepper spice, zesty lemon and piney juniper.
The label promises a "Classic Gin" and indeed this a classically juniper-forward gin with a generous 46%alc./vol., zesty lemon, liquorice, and salad leaf notes.
