This cross between an amaro and an amaretto is the result of a collaboration between Italian liqueur producer Casoni and renowned bartender Marian Beke of London's Gibson bar.

Review and Tasting

Sampled on 30/09/2019

Appearance:

Clear, mid-dark golden amber.

Aroma:

Earthy acorns, almond, marzipan, almond butter, cacao and delicate wood smoke.

Taste:

Bittersweet. Cola and almond with delicate smoke and spice.

Aftertaste:

Amaretto like almond fades to bitter cola.

Overall:

A cross between an amaro and an amaretto with distinctive cola notes and a bittersweet profile. Rooty herbal notes and faint smokiness add to this liqueur's complexity.
