Appearance:

(sample can best before 01/Nov/21) Opaque, deep brown, almost black, with tan head.

Aroma:

Liquorice, coal, dry coffee grounds and cacao.

Taste:

Full-bodied. Liquorice, toasted/burnt oats, cacao and moderately bitter grassy hops. Moderate carbonation.

Aftertaste:

Creamy, light bitter finish with liquorice and lingering burnt oats.

Overall:

There's an appealing creaminess to the long finish of this full-bodied Sussex stout which has flavours of liquorice, toasted/burnt oats and cacao with moderately bitter grassy hops.
