Released in September 2019, Angels' Nectar Islay Edition is an independent bottling of Islay single malt scotch whisky that has been matured in former bourbon barrels for five years and bottled without added colour or chill filtration.

Appearance:
Clear, pale golden amber.
Aroma:
Earthy peat with wisps of smoke, faint iodine, seaside air and white pepper. Water reveals toasty oak.
Taste:
Gentle Islay peat smoke gracefully dominates with sweet biscuity malt and faint mellowing waxiness that helps disguise the generous 47% alc./vol.. Water releases subtle vegetal notes.
Aftertaste:
Long smoky yet mellow finish with lingering coal dust and faint dark chocolate notes.
Overall:
As smoky Islay malts go, Angel's Nectar is surprisingly graceful and elegant with earthy peat smoke and coal dust served with easy to swallow sweet biscuity notes. Brilliantly suited to fireside drinking.
