Review and Tasting

Sampled on 30/08/2022

Appearance:

Clear, pale golden amber.

Aroma:

Sandalwood, sawn oak, hay, sweetcorn and hard rubber. Slight gassiness with plump sultana, apple, pear, cacao and baking spices

Taste:

Medium-bodied and easy drinking with creamy vanilla sweetness balancing dry young oak. Attractive liquorice and ripe pear with subdued baking spices.

Aftertaste:

Hay, sandalwood and sweetcorn with moderate spice.

Overall:

An attractive heavy-weight bottle helps the appeal of this quaffable whiskey. Hard not to like but some will find this crowdpleaser overly easy.
