Made from 100% rye grain, Lot No. 40 Dark Oak is said to retain "the essence of Lot No. 40 but displays a more intense profile is ideal for the seasoned whisky drinker."
The mash is first distilled in a column still and then a copper pot still and aged in new, lightly charred barrels before being finished in heavily charred American oak barrels.
