An American ale inspired by an English bitter brewed using four malts: 2 Row, Caramel, Wheat and Roasted Barley malts with Styrian and Golding hops. Brewed all year round IBU: 30
Sampled on 28/06/2013
(sample best before 04-Apr-14) Cloudy, coppery amber with off thin but lasting off-white head and heavy lacing.
Strangely reminiscent of fried batter with peachy fruit, grapefruit zest and Naval oranges with caramel and earthy hops. Faint sultana.
Peachy fruit influenced bready malt with caramel, butterscotch, nuts, apple, orange and grapefruit zesty floral hops and subtle spice.
Citrusy bready finish with light cleansing woody tartness. More citrusy than this Englishman expects from an 'English ale' but I like.
