Launched in 1997, Herencia de Plata Añejo is a 100% agave tequila aged 18 months in ex-bourbon barrels. Incidentally, ‘Herencia de Plata’ literally translates from Spanish as ‘heritage of silver’.

Appearance:

Clear, golden amber.

Aroma:

Buttery butterscotch, crème caramel and cedarwood with cinnamon, nutmeg and black pepper spice. Faint almond and overripe banana.

Taste:

Sweet vanilla, caramel, marshmallow and butter balance dry oak, cinnamon, nutmeg and black pepper spice.

Aftertaste:

Leathery balsawood with cracked black pepper spice.

Overall:

Buttery butterscotch, sweet vanilla, caramel and marshmallow set against dry oak, cinnamon, nutmeg and black pepper spice.
