Review and Tasting

Sampled on 10/02/2013

Appearance:

Clear (although so dark virtually opaque, deep mulberry red.

Aroma:

Pungent blackcurrant fruit with faint green leaf note.

Taste:

Lacks the syrupy sugar associated with crème de cassis so is comparatively thin but retains intense blackberry fruit with red wine-like tannins and complexity. Superbly clean.

Aftertaste:

Lingering fruit tartness. Can’t help but think it would be better sweetened with indulgent amounts of sugar.
