I have tried making stirred cocktails in a double-walled vessel, and find that one may have to compensate for the lower heat transfer. Where a single-walled shaker or cup will transfer heat via condensation on the outside, these double-walled vessels will not. This will cause the ice to melt less, which may be desirable, but may not, depending on the drink.
