This version of Picon is best added to red or white wine. Picon Amer is much more bitter so I'd expect quite different results when used in the listed cocktail recipes.

Picon make various products - confusingly the manufacturer's website shows: bierre, amer, club (à l'orange), and à l'orange - though I can't see the difference between the last two and suppliers seem to use them interchangeably.

Picon bierre with beer is commonly referred to as simply 'picon' in France.
