When our website displays brand names in recipes, you can click on the name which leads to a brand page. In turn brand pages link to the generic and alternative brands. Our Premium members have the option to change the brand to the one they prefer/have. Obviously, none of this is possible in a book.
Thanks for explaining. Feedback-wise, my preference would be to see the generic name on the recipes here, which could be hyperlinked to brand options, but I’m guessing there’s some form of sponsorship driving this. I’m thankful that the book at least no longer favours specific brands.

Yes, we are very keen to produce an app. Without the support of sponsors, there would be no Difford's Guide. This is the first-ever edition of the book with generics rather than brands.
