Gosling rums are blended from independently aged Caribbean rums matured and also blended on the island of Bermuda.
The company’s famous Black Seal Rum is a blend of three to six year old rums sourced from Caribbean islands. These are aged separately in ex-bourbon barrels which have been re-charred to impart Black Seal rum’s distinctive dark colour. These rums are then blended on the island with some molasses added to help ensure colour consistency. Stocks destined for local sales are bottled on the island with that for export sales shipped in bulk to be bottled elsewhere.
