Established by Helmut Wilderer in Stellenbosch in January 1995, Wilderer Distillery is distinguished as being South Africa’s first private grappa distillery and now produces grappa, schnapps, liqueur and gin from two premises in the vicinity of Paarl – one in Simondium and the other near Malmesbury.
