Old-fashioned glass
Orange peel and half a crust of salt
Brew the Earl Grey tea and let it cool. Prepare an old-fashioned glass with half a salt crust, dissolve the agave syrup with the cider vinegar, then pour all the ingredients into a mixing glass following this order:
- Cider vinegar with agave syrup
- Earl grey tea
- Tequila Patrón Silver
- Ice
Stir for about a minute, then pour into an old fashioned glass full of ice and garnish.
5/6 fl oz | Patrón Silver blanco tequila |
1 1/3 fl oz | Earl Grey tea (cold) |
1/2 fl oz | Agave syrup |
1/3 fl oz | Apple cider vinegar |
This Margarita was born to support the new global trend of low alcohol drinking.
I imagined a low alcohol cocktail with ingredients that are all really easy to find at home, and at the same time with a long shelf life. (For example I swapped lime juice with apple cider vinegar for longer storage.)
I imagine this drink as a kit to make at home, or a Patrón cocktail ready to drink and enjoy anywhere, simply by pouring the Tea Margarita into a glass filled with ice and stirring for a minute.
