Satan's Whiskers in London has its own unique aesthetic with taxidermy, vintage posters and a hip-hop soundtrack, there is a daily cocktail menu that uses fresh ingredients.

Review

A former jerk chicken restaurant has been reborn a 50-cover cocktail den with a mix of eccentric taxidermy, candle-lit seating and grungy east end watering hole. The walls are a homage to elegant vintage drink advertisements whilst the back bar plays host to a range of whiskies, from peated Scotch to bourbon and some interesting London-local gins. There's also plenty of esoteric drinking paraphernalia.

A daily updated menu sees a change to three or four of the drinks, depending on the bartenders - who are named-checked on the menu - and of course stock. It's mostly dominated by classics, plenty of short, sharp hits as well as impeccably balanced longer drinks.

There's also a good food offering with snacks and sharing plates including quesadillas and Scotch eggs.
