The Bar/Giani Double Pour Mixing Glass is thought to be the first mixing glass with three pour spouts, including a dual-pour side that enables two cocktails to be strained into their glasses simultaneously.

This concept was conceived by Giorgio Bargiani, Assistant Director of Mixology at The Connaught Bar in London and developed by NUDE's team of technical designers.

Review
Why have just one pour spout when you can have two? Being able to pour into two glasses from the same stirring glass simultaneously not only looks slick but saves time. Hence, this is sure to be the first of many stirring vessels with two such pour spouts.

However, the Bar/Giani mixing glass also has a third spout to facilitate just pouring one cocktail. Thing is, the spouts on the double side are far enough apart that you can angle the stirring glass to just pour from one of these spouts, so the third spout is unnecessary. The third spout is not only unnecessary but strangely makes holding the strainer handle in place uncomfortable when pouring from the double spouts.

This stirring glass is designed to stir two cocktails at once, but with a generous serve and a large scoop of ice, the depth of the spouts causes a jangling sound as the spinning ice hits the bottoms of the three spouts.

All in all, the Bar/Giani Double Pour Mixing Glass is a clever innovation that is bound to set a precedent for stirring vessels, but I’d prefer it with just two pour spouts and for the spouts not to be set so deeply down the vessel.
