More an eatery than a bar, but Stoneburner has a large raised bar area to the left as you walk in with a dark oak island bar counter that twists and turns around the room providing plentiful seating with additional booths opposite. The splendid room is lined with dark stained and varnish panelling, an imposing cornice and other vintage embellishments.

They are happy for you to come here just for drinks but you're bound to end up eating and you'd be missing out if you didn't. We recommend the Bavette Steak (with green peppercorns, kale and smoked fingerling potato). The 14 strong cocktail list features mostly signature cocktails, some of them aged with several classics such as the Pisco Sour and Brooklyn. Try the Spark Another Owl (with tequila, sherry, maraschino, lime, grapefruit, Cynar and Yellow Chartreuse.

Lying on the Ballard Avenue strip expect the usual mix of young professionals and a slightly older foodies. It's worth noting that Stoneburner is located on the ground floor of Hotel Ballard with a connecting door into the hotel lobby but the two businesses are separately owned and operated.
