Happiness Forgets

Happiness Forgets is not only a firm favourite with the eastern locals but has very much become the bartender's bar in London.

Happiness remains underground, in both senses of the word. Found beneath Petit Pois, the only clue it's there is an A-board, the space is small, rough round the edges and utterly charming. Clientele is greeted at the base of the stairs, seated and served at the table (no standing).

Dominating the space is the bar itself, with an array of spirits and cocktail books on the back-bar. The frequently updated cocktail list draws on modern incarnations of classics with accomplished bartenders happy to go off piste, give you a taste of this or that spirit, or simply revert back to the classics.

Consistently offering a buzzy atmosphere with plenty of chatter, outstanding service from floor staff and well-crafted drinks it's easy to see why there's always a demand for space at Happiness.
