The Original Tiki outpost in London, Trader Vics hasn't changed a bit since it opened in the Park Lane Hilton in 1963. Called the Boathouse Bar, the ceiling is hung with buoys, nets and the odd canoe. Add in the obligatory bamboo, woven palm leaves and carved wooden heads and you know what you're in for the minute you step down the stairs.

The menu is vast and features some new drinks alongside Victor's classic. Expect lashings of rum and pineapple in most cocktails on the list, as there's nothing on the menu that is 'off-brand'.

Despite the often mixed-bag of guests this bar has a definite charm about it.
