This bar, complete with a working set of stills and the ability to produce batches of several hundred bottles of gin at a time, lies in a basement a few steps off of Fleet Street in London's "Square Mile".
Other bars may boast stills, but these tend to be more decorative and not 'production' capable. Here, they have the real thing. Each still was literally carried down the stairs. The polished steel and shiny copper stills, made by German still-maker Christian Carl, with their large mechanical levers and intricate little dials, sit behind a glass wall and look like something out of Jules Vern.
The bar itself concentrates on gin with a gin-biased menu of cocktails - though other spirits are available and there are even a few beers.
